Fred Soofi

Fred has been a small business owner and operator for the past 30 years, and is the owner of Pasta Polo Restaurant. He held an elected position on the Board of Directors Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce and sat on the Board of the Coquitlam Foundation. Fred has served on the Advisory Committee on Light Rapid Transit (LRT) and the City of Coquitlam Multicultural Advisory Committee and currently sits on the Board of Laurel Foundation. He is a recipient of federal government Citation for Citizenship award, Spirit of Community Volunteerism Award, the Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and was nominated for the Order of Canada. Fred is a volunteer with numerous organizations in the Tri-Cities including: the Women’s Resource Centre; Arts Connect; Tri-Cities Homelessness Task Force; Coquitlam Foundation; Coquitlam Farmers’ Market; Society for Community Development; PoCoMo Youth; Crossroads Hospice; SUCCESS; SHARE; Red Cross; Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation and many more www.fredsoofi.ca
