Norooz Festival and Market
Spring is a time the trees begin to bloom and we start to feel more energetic as we leave behind the slumber of winter. The beginning of spring also marks the Iranian/Persian New Year’s celebration known as Norooz. To mark the special occasion the Tricity Iranian Cultural Society presented a Norooz Festival and Market held at Scott Creek Middle School. The full day event included: art displays, traditional music and dance along with great food and a business expo, and plenty of door prizes. Attendees enjoyed all the festivities and marked the occasion with the “Haft Seen” symbolizing new growth, eternal life and good over evil. For more information please visit www.tcics.com.
